On November 4, 2018 guests came from as far as New York to attend this unique kitchen tour in Doylestown, Pa.  The tour focused on raising money for the Bucks County Housing Group’s Food Pantry of Doylestown.  The event raised enough money from ticket sales to stock over 1,000 pounds of food for the local food pantries just in time for the holidays.

The Superior Woodcraft Kitchen Tour was held on Sunday, November 4, 2018. Guests had the opportunity to tour six exquisite custom kitchens in Doylestown while enjoying local foods and florals.

The event was a perfect opportunity for community members to help support others in need enjoy the bounty for the holidays. It was a perfect example of how local businesses help support our community in so many ways.  “Bucks County Housing Group is proud to partner with Superior Woodcraft and Simply Fresh to help stock the shelves at our Community Food Pantry at Doylestown” said Erik Clare, Executive Director BCHG.  “We serve over 150 families a week at the pantry and it is through partnerships like this that BCHG was able to serve 47,689 people last year from all three of our pantries.”

Patrick Kennedy of Superior Woodcraft, “A special thank you is owed to our six Superior Woodcraft clients who generously opened their homes to our guests for the Superior Woodcraft Kitchen Tour. Without their generosity we wouldn’t have been able to host a tour to support our local food bank.  We also thank our kitchen tour partner, Simply Fresh by McCaffrey’s and all of our guests.  It was great to see that we all came to together to help support the Bucks Housing Group’s Food Pantry.  It’s a prime example of how local independent businesses impact our communities.”
