Preview Reception: Gather Up The Fragments: The Andrews Shaker Collection.


Last Friday members of the Mercer Museum in Doylestown, PA had the chance to preview this exciting new exhibit. Superior Woodcraft, a sponsor of the exhibit, was in attendance for this opening preview along with 200 other museum members.



Christian Goodwillie , curator of Gather Up The Fragments provided opening remarks and highlighted information from upcoming seminars about the exhibit and the Shaker Community.


Superior Woodcraft is excited about the opportunity to participate in this event and the opportunity to bring these treasures to The Mercer Museum and to our community.

  1. The prostate gland is central to the section of a male’s reproductive system. It secretes fluids that assisted in the transportation and activation of sperm. This condition is treated by using antibiotics or non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to ease the swelling.

    Chronic bacterial prostatitis is often a condition connected with a particular defect in the gland and the persistence presence of bacteria inside the urinary tract. It can be brought on by trauma on the urinary tract or by infections received from other parts with the body. A patient may go through testicular pain, small of the back pains and urination problems. Although it is uncommon, it may be treated by removal in the prostate defect accompanied by the use antibiotics and NSAIDs to treat the soreness.

    Non-bacterial prostatitis accounts for approximately 90% coming from all prostatitis cases; however, researchers have not even to create the causes of these conditions. Some researchers believe chronic non-bacterial prostatitis occur as a consequence of unknown infectious agents while other feel that intensive exercise and heavy lifting could cause these infections.

    Maintaining a Healthy Prostate

    To prevent prostate diseases, a proper meals are important. These are some with the things you can do to keep your prostate healthy.

    1. Drink sufficient water. Proper hydration is essential for general health and it will also keep your urinary track clean.

    2. Some studies advise that several ejaculations weekly will prevent cancer of prostate.

    3. Eat pork sparingly. It has been shown that consuming a lot more than four meals of beef every week will raise the risk of prostate diseases and cancer.

    4. Maintain an effective diet with cereals, vegetable and fruits to be sure sufficient intake of nutrients essential for prostate health.

    The most critical measure to adopt to make sure a normal prostate is usually to select regular prostate health screening. If you are forty years and above, you should choose prostate examination at least a year.
