Doylestown, PA (May 21, 2007): Superior Woodcraft, Inc. and The Mann Center for the Performing Arts will host the 2007 Superior Kitchen Expedition on Saturday, October 13th, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Expedition is a self-guided tour of six designer kitchens in private homes in beautiful Bucks County. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from this event will be donated to The Mann Center for the Performing Arts' free Young People's Concert Series. This program plays a vital role in community outreach, making high-quality, and culturally diverse performing arts programs accessible to all children with performances by internationally acclaimed young performing artists.
Advance tickets are $20 per person, available for purchase by cash or check at the Superior Woodcraft showroom at 160 N. Hamilton Street in Doylestown Borough. The showroom is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and most Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Tickets may also be purchased with a Visa or Master Card through October 10th by calling The Mann during normal business hours at 215-546-7900, ext 138. Superior Woodcraft's fine custom cabinetry, handcrafted in historic Doylestown, will be featured in all six kitchens with beautiful arrangements, accessories and décor provided by local Interior and Floral Designers. Anyone considering a home redecorating, renovation or building project will find a wealth of creative inspiration in each remarkable kitchen.
Guests will begin the tour at Superior Woodcraft where they will receive an admission wristband, map, directions and a program book. Preordered box lunches may be picked up until 2:00 pm. Gourmet refreshments and guided tours of Superior Woodcraft's woodworking facility will be available. Participants should plan approximately three hours to complete the tour, depending on the amount of time spent at each residence.
All homes on the tour are private residences; they are not handicapped accessible, nor will restrooms be available to the public. Photography is strictly prohibited. All Superior Expedition Kitchens close promptly at 4:00 pm. Parking is limited so guests are encouraged to carpool and to park only in designated areas.
Since 2003, the Superior Kitchen Expedition has raised and donated more than $54,000 to local Bucks County programs that directly affect our community. Superior Woodcraft is pleased to expand their philanthropic efforts by partnering with The Mann Center for the Performing Arts and hopes to raise $20,000 in 2007 through sponsorships, donations and ticket sales to help The Mann Center provide 50,000 free tickets to the Young People's Concert Series for children in the Philadelphia area to experience and be inspired by multi-cultural and multi-generational performances.
